Open Submissions:

As of today, 1 January 2026, we are currently closed to all submissions.  However, we have plans to open submissions later this year for a new collection of essays.  We also hope to publish an essay or two this year in honour of the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s dystopian science fiction novel The Last Man, which was first published on 23 January 1826.

Last year saw the publication of our first novel, To Feel Nothing, To Love Nothing, as well as two new essays: the first, ‘Thoughts Arising from Living with Jane Austen’ by Professor Janet Todd, published on the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth; and the second, ‘Barry Lyndon at 50’ by Alexander Larman, written in honour of the 50th anniversary of Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece Barry Lyndon, a film all of us here adore.

Please do get in touch if you would like to work with us, especially if you have essays (both new and previously published) or upcoming books pertaining to all aspects of Romanticism.  We will be adding a new section later in the year to include new book reviews and interviews with authors.
